I now live in a studio apartment in Shanghai temporarily. I hang out at coffee shops to draw and eat at Muslim restaurants on a daily basis. Shanghai has grown on me (or perhaps I’ve grown on Shanghai). Either way, I appreciate the opportunity to be here.
I officially live in Taipei. I’m starting my life from scratch as a foreign bride. I’m learning Mandarin; adapting on a beautiful island. I also hope to learn Taiwanese – what an amazing language! I’m basically another walking cliché. I doodle, write, and travel. Despite I was born mostly deaf, I still hope one day to write lyrics to songs for musicians. I’ve always admired Dian Fossey and Andie MacDowell helped me appreciate my curly hair. I may not know what I want to do with my life but I am content with what I already have.
Double Happiness: Artist, Dreamer Never Imagined Taiwanese Hubby or Future in Taiwan

Hi Eileen! Hope your week is going well and things are feeling more settled for you in Taipei! Do you mind if I post one of your doodle pictures on my blog? Will be writing about the art you create and will include links to your site and all that.
I would be honoured. Yay.
Super yay! Thanks Eileen!
Not that I have a ton of readers, but I love your artwork and will be happy if I can introduce at least a few people too it!
Lovely doodles you’ve got! Seeing your Taiwan photos make me crave for oyster meesua, my fave Taiwanese street food!

Your blog = AMAZING. It makes me miss Taiwan terribly. (And I love that you can speak so many languages?? I took French all through high school but I have a horrible accent! Hehe, and I think your Mandarin might be even better than mine!) I’m so intrigued by your life, keke. But I will explore your blog more to see if I can find out more first ^___^
I’m learning languages as I go along, but I am afraid my accent is quite thick.
Thank you so much for your kind words. Nice to meet you! You and your boyfriend look so darling together!
Nice blog! I look forward to following your adventures in Taiwan.
Yay.
Bonjour! Madamaiselle Eileen,
Are you Chinese? I don’t thank so.( looking from photo). I admire you of knowing many languages especially can write very fluent Chinese! And you have a meaningful Chinese name!
No, I’m not Chinese. I’m latina with slavic/Irish roots.
Thank you. I speak terribly, though.
